Dreams and danger – that’s what the Unseelie Court holds. And I’ve fallen right into its king’s forbidden thrall.

Aster Quiin (aka Asteria Fairwae, the lost Seelie princess) likes to pretend her life is perfectly normal. And through a deal with her uncle, the regent king, that’s mostly possible.

That is, until she dances with a beautiful, silver-haired stranger at a nightclub.

The stranger turns out to be Nox Ether, the notorious King of the Unseelie Court and her uncle’s political enemy. Nox takes a darkly keen interest in Aster, his presence bleeding into more than just her waking hours. All the while, unrest stirs within the Unseelie Court as members of Nox’s inner circle disappear and whispers that demonic forces are at play begin to spread.

When Aster’s forbidden attraction to the Unseelie King and the threat of danger brewing in the courts become intrinsically linked, she is forced to face her fate… even if in the end, it’s the death of her.

“Light and dark are two entities and must remain so. Without that balance, without that separation, the world would come apart.”

“And what does that say about you and me?” I dared, meeting his eyes.

Amber irises lit up once again and he growled, “You will always be my exception.”

Now that her uncle is gone, and with him the demon Abaddon too, Aster Fairwae, once the lost Seelie princess, has finally reclaimed her title and throne. Except that the demon prince left with a promise to return with backup—and took Raven, the brother of Aster’s best friend.

Aster’s newly found mate, Nox, Night King of the Unseelie Court, searches for Raven while she tries to get a grip on her own small council and court. They are obstinate at best and only agree to work with her and Nox if he drops the Veil separating their courts. But breaking the barrier between light and dark has consequences; ones that Nox is not willing to risk.

Nox’s refusal to drop the Veil causes a rift between him and Aster at a time when they desperately need to stand together. The threat of Abaddon’s return looms and secrets about what Aster and Nox really are begin to surface. Soon, they are both faced with the reality that the curse the demon placed on Nox so long ago may not be over—that it might never be.

How far would you go for a love you were never supposed to have?

On the anniversary of her sister’s death, a stranger offered Rowan Evans a tissue and watched the sunset with her until the stars appeared. Three years later, as Rowan begins the graduate program at Grandview University’s School of Music, all her plans are shaken when she finds out her advisor has fallen ill and has been hastily replaced by Dr. Julian Lynch, a thirty-four-year-old musical protégé hailing from Scotland. Rowan almost doesn’t recognize him as the man from that day she cried on the steps. But as the weeks drag on, she tries and fails to deny the attraction between them, resulting in a dangerous, charged tension during each of their private lessons.

Julian Lynch doesn’t want to think about the nameless girl from the steps all those years ago. But when her face appears in the files of graduate students he’s set to teach, his world is shaken. Rowan Evans is fiery and defiant, testing his restraint each time they meet. He swears he won’t be the one to break the rules, for both his sake and hers. In the end, he isn’t. But he doesn’t stop her when she kisses him either.

Rowan and Julian’s forbidden attraction escalates on a snowy night in December—a night that results in consequences that will inevitably change everything. And they are both left to wonder… How far are they willing to go for a love they were never supposed to have?
